Marcus, I thought I would drop you a line,
Just to say thank you, for a wonderful time.
Keeping it Live!, was simply the best,
A marvellous showcase – a roaring success,
From arriving on Sunday, til time came to leave,
T’was a thrilling few days, too good to believe,
Your staff they were brilliant, a fabulous crew
Who helped raise the roof, off Blackpools Horseshoe!
What can I say, bout the wonderful Pete,
A smooth operator, with talented feet!
Production was flawless, So slick its untrue,
A Brilliant SM, and a great dancer too!!!.....
And then there was Janie, his partner in crime,
A lovely young lady, who kept things on time,
The guys on the sound, need a pat on the back,
They knew how to play it...they sure had the knack,
The whole thing was run, with incredible ease,
Thanks to the guys, and their sheer expertise,
And then there was Mickey...that wonderful band
It was never a chore, to give them a hand,
Steve, he was magic - a talented chap,
Turned over the acts, without any gaps,
From Singers and dancers, comedians too,
He kept them in line, and saw it all through,
There was fun, there was laughter, and plenty of glee,
And plenty of pot shots, at poor old Noel Gee,
The chips they were flowing, they never ran out,
And I won’t face another, for some time, no doubt!
I do hope that Moonstone, will use me once more,
For my heart was so heavy, on reaching the door
I could have kept going, just filming for days,
I wanted to stay, In so many ways....
On the morning I left, when the two of us spoke,
I forgot to say thanks, for the vodka, and coookkkkkeeee!!!
A fabulous ending, to three cracking days,
Something that I will remember......Always
Thanks to John Hopcroft, and people like you,
Keeping It Live, will keep going, it’s true.
